Oklahoma State is locked and loaded for the upcoming Big 12 football season as … the league’s biggest question mark.
Everything boils down to the play under center.
- Josh Henson’s offensive line, despite the loss of Brad Lundblade, looks to be in good shape.
- Mike Gundy’s newest hire in defensive coordinator Jim Knowles, is ready to bring a new scheme to the Cowboy’s defense.
- The run game is led by JD King, Chuba Hubbard and, Heisman dark horse, Justice Hill. It’s, perhaps, the most prolific run game Oklahoma State has had in recent years. If that kind of talent is evidence of anything, the OSU offense will be run heavy.
But … someone has to give the ball to those talented running backs.
Oklahoma State coaches confirmed, on multiple occasions, that Taylor Cornelius is the man. Much to the surprise of the media, and, much to the chagrin of some fans. The two other (realistic) quarterback options for Oklahoma State are, true-freshman, Spencer Sanders, and, Hawaii transfer, Dru Brown.
Many of Oklahoma State’s games are “50/50” games, such as K-State, West Virginia, TCU, and Texas, among others. Frankly, the only, almost, guaranteed wins are the first two games of the season, and the Kansas game.
Oklahoma State’s season could go a million different ways, and, we at Bedlam Brother, are excited to see how it all folds out. August 30 can’t come soon enough!
