Close Matchups  – All times are in CT

#88 Bucknell @ #9 (#13) UNC – ACCNE 7PM

#42 Creighton @ #20 (#33) Northwestern – Gavitt Tipoff Games – BTN 8PM
Creighton’s high powered offense clashes against  a ranked Northwestern squad in Rosemont, and some are questioning the Wildcat’s legitimacy. The Wildcats have had a couple of close calls against mid-major Saint Peter’s (75-66) and Loyola-Maryland (79-75). However, four of their starters are averaging more than 11ppg, and have a solid defender in Gavin Skelly. Creighton is averaging 100.5ppg with Senior Guard Marcus Foster leading the way with 23ppg. The Bluejays have a lot of depth, with only 2 players getting under 10 minutes per game. Creighton is out to show that they are top 25 worthy, and Northwestern is out to defend their ranking on their home floor.

#86 Indiana @ #22 (#29) Seton Hall – Gavitt Tipoff Games – FS1 5:30PM
After being blown out by mid-major Indiana State at home, the Hoosiers have a lot to prove on the road in Newark tonight. They were able to edge Howard 86-77, and that is even raising some eyebrows. IU is allowing more points against them on average than they score, and ranks 167th in D1 on defense. Seton Hall on the other hand has been taking care of business at home, and looks to keep it that way tonight. Prominent Center Angel Delgado is leading the way for the Pirates with 13.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game. All eyes are on Seton Hall to win this one tonight.

#44 Butler @ #36 Maryland – Gavitt Tipoff Games – FS1 7:30PM
In the closest matchup of the day, Butler will face Maryland in College Park in front of one of the most hostile environments in college basketball. Maryland has proven themselves to be dominant on the defensive side of the court, only allowing 52ppg in their first two victories. The Terrapins rank in the top 30 in points allowed per 100 possessions as well with 93.4. Butler has started the season strong as well with two impressive wins over Kennesaw State and Princeton at home. The Bulldogs will lean on Senior Forward Kelan Martin’s 20ppg and 11.5rpg in order to come out with a victory on the road.

#88 Bucknell @ #9 (#13) North Carolina – PK80 – Campus Game – ACCNE 7PM
To launch the PK 80 tournament, Bucknell will visit North Carolina in a campus game at Chapel Hill. Luke Maye leads the way for the Tar Heels after their first game against Northern Iowa with 26 points and 10 rebounds in Joel Berry II’s absence. UNC will have to do that for the next few weeks as Berry is still out with a broken bone in his right hand.  UNC will face a Bucknell team that has started out 0-2, but has a few offensive weapons in Zach Thomas (27.5ppg, 13rpg) and Nana Foulland (16ppg, 3.5rpg). The Bison lost a close one at Monmouth 79-78, and were routed by Arkansas 101-73.
